Azure Virtual Desktop

Overview

Frontend for the Azure Virtual Desktop service, part of the Microsoft Azure cloud. UI automation tests and infrastructure, CI/CD processes.

Rewrite the frontend of the Application Groups and Workspace ARM resources of the Azure Portal in React, laying the foundations for migrating the rest of the application.
Ensure accessibility of the UI in compliance with the WCAG guidelines.
Triage and resolution of live incidents.
Implemented unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library, run as part of the CI process. Monitored code coverage.
Rewrite of the infrastructure to run automated Selenium/Playwright UI tests in VMs, cutting the run time by over a half. Reduced failure rate.
Implemented the UI automation tests project following the Page Object pattern.
Implemented a deployment rollout solution to deploy in stages to different environments, running tests between the stages to validate the deployment.

Develop KnockoutJS frontend in the Azure Portal for the AVD extension from the ground up, including its landing page and the Application groups, Host pool, Scaling plans and Workspace ARM resources
Ensure accesibility of the UI in compliance with the WCAG guidelines.
Implemented unit and automated UI tests. Maintained the UI automation project and infrastructure.
Conduct internal and public testing during the private and public preview stages of the project. Triage and resolution of incidents.
