Vover (social network)

Overview

Serverless backend for the voice-based social network Vover. Frontend and backend for the admin backoffice. Maintenance of the mobile app.

Designed the APIs by adapting existing social media architectures, like Twitter or Reddit ones, to an Azure-based solution. Implemented REST APIs using serverless architecture. Implemented unit & integration tests.
Implemented a backoffice as a SPA, which allowed administrators to monitor user engagement metrics, perform content moderation and manage promoted content.
Analyzed user navigation & usage patterns on the app to optimize the database queries. Implemented pre-calculated views for the most read-intensive use cases, reducing the loading time of the application.
Implemented a combination of atomic counters with queues and e-tags to reduce the amount of concurrent writes of likes, plays and others.
